Difference of Dash Kits and Dash Covers

So what is the difference between a dash kit and a dash cover, well let’s start by telling you what each one is then we can discuss the differences. A dash kit is usually just a bunch of pieces that you can overlay on your current dashboard, for example let’s say that you wanted wood around your shifter, rather than buying a new dashboard you could just buy a dash kit and place the piece right over your shifter to make it look like wood.

On the other hand a dash cover is the complete opposite rather than coming in separate pieces it is like getting a whole new dash board, but you don’t have to replace the old one with the new one, this is because they just over lay your whole dash board this is why they are also referred to as dash mats, these are usually more expensive but they do give your car a entirely new look or just freshen it up if the old dash board was getting kind of worn out.

Both dash kits and dash covers will come in many colors, shapes, and sizes to fit any car model that you may have, materials that a dash kit or cover could consist of are plastic resins, fake wood, and some times, but rare, leather. So here is what you need to know a dash kit is a small kit of components that you can overlay on your existing dash board to give it a custom look while a dash cover is a mat that you can overlay on most of your dash to change the color or feel. . Many places sell the dash kits and dash covers but one of the best places to find them is online, the reason being is that you can find a lot more variety and there is usually always something that will fit your car model so no special modifications will have to be made.

And finally, both the dash kit and the dash cover will give you a custom feel the dash kit is going to give you a more custom feel with what you already have, while the dash cover is going to change the look totally the only problem with some dash covers is that they can look some what cheap and not like an original dash board.

The Mini Cooper auto parts never did give names to their cars, instead consistently using letters and numbers to designate the coupes,

sedans and the SUVs. With the Mini Cooper auto parts Q45 being the flagship sedan, the Mini Cooper auto parts found its place in the
